Weight Watchers Success Story - Brigitte


Admitting that she had a weight-problem was the toughest hurdle for Brigitte to leap over. Once she acknowledged that it was time for her to get serious about her health, this Alberta woman took that intimidating first step, and has been running strong ever since.

Strict adherence to the plan was the key to Brigitte's success. By staying committed to the POINTS ® Weight-Loss System, she was able to shed close to 80 pounds!

WeightWatchers.ca: What made you decide to start your weight loss?
Brigitte: I was tired of seeing myself looking overweight in pictures, and my cousin's wife started attending Weight Watchers meetings. Seeing how successful she was at it, I thought to myself, "If she can do it, so can I." Without looking back, I decided to join Weight Watchers meetings the very next week.

WeightWatchers.ca: What was the hardest part?
Brigitte: The hardest part was admitting to myself that I was overweight. Once I was able to do that, the rest was smooth sailing. I hit a couple of plateaus along the way, but I was able to adjust, change the food I was eating, and break through.

WeightWatchers.ca: Did anyone help you?
Brigitte: My meetings leader Debbie was very helpful. I've also made quite a few friends at the meetings. My husband has been my biggest supporter.

WeightWatchers.ca: What advice would you give others trying to lose weight?
Brigitte: Don't lie to yourself. Stop the denial. Don't cheat. If you cheat, the plan will not work. Do it for yourself first.

WeightWatchers.ca: What do you love about the new you?
Brigitte: I love purchasing all the clothes for my new body that I'll be wearing for a long time. I love receiving admiration from my friends and family. First and foremost, I feel healthy and confident.
