Weight Watchers Success Story - Nataly

Nataly had a motivation right out of the chute for what she wanted with her weight loss plans with Weight Watchers. Often a small goal that is fairly soon is a very good driver when you are trying to lose the weight and you get hit with those cravings for food in the evening. It is much easier to lose 10 pounds at a time than to worry about losing a 100 pounds all at once. Nataly lost 43 pounds pretty quickly..

An eager participant in her friend's upcoming wedding, Nataly from Ontario scheduled fittings for her bridesmaid dress. Three months passed between the initial fitting and the final fitting. Nataly was mortified to discover that she'd gone up three sizes in such a short period of time.

After being introduced to Weight Watchers meetings by her coworker, and soon-to-be weigh-in buddy, Nataly started following the POINTS® Weight-Loss System. Finding methods to harness her emotional eating and preoccupying herself with things other than food, Nataly lost over 40 pounds.

What made you decide to start your weight loss?
Nataly: I was in a bridal party, and when I went for the dress fitting, I was a size 10. Three months later, when I went for the final fitting, I couldn't fit into the dress. I was devastated. I went from a size 10 to a size 16. I knew my eating habits were out of control, and I needed help desperately.

What was the hardest part?
Nataly: I am a real emotional eater, so when I wanted to start eating out of control, I wrote down my feelings. The hardest part for me was learning that food was not my comfort. I also learned how to better occupy my time, as opposed to sitting on the couch with a bag of chips.

Did anyone help you?
Nataly: My coworker actually introduced me to Weight Watchers. We would have our weigh-ins together. She still is amazing support for me. My mother has helped me out by coming up with lots of low-fat dinner ideas.

What advice would you give others trying to lose weight?
Nataly: No one is perfect. If you have a bad day, just get back on track tomorrow. Remember this is a lifestyle change and not a diet. This isn't temporary. Learn what works for you and stick to it.

Did you work out? What was your fitness routine?
Nataly: In the beginning of my weight-loss journey, I did not work out much. But, with the nice weather, I enjoy walking outdoors and I love boxercise!

What do you love about the new you?
Nataly: I love being able to go shopping and not buy the larger sizes. Asking for a size 7 or 8 feels fantastic!

Nataly recommends:

TRISCUIT Thin Crisps
Jell-O Fat-Free Instant Pudding
Black Diamond cheese strings
Loblaws blue menu quesadillas
